Jasper Board Hires Acting County Engineer

The Jasper County Board Thursday hired Ben Bland as Acting County Engineer.

Bland will succeed Dick Patterson, who resigned last month. Bland is already serving as Cumberland County Engineer. He will be paid $2,000/month by the Jasper Board.

The Board also amended the budget in the sheriff's department to accommodate $27,398 in salary increases for deputies.

Board members appoved Mike Hall to a three-year term to the Board of Health and board member Fehrenbacher to a one-year term on the Board of Health, as well as the appointment of board member Weddell to the JEDI Board.

$5,850 in tuckpointing was approved at the county jail and Doug Waddell was approved to the Jasper County 911 Board.
