Carbondale Man Arrested at Mattoon Train Station

Mattoon police arrested Danial A. Hitt, age 28 of Carbondale, on Thursday Jan. 5th at 6:58 a.m. The arrest occurred at the train depot.

Hitt was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Obstructing Service of Process. The charges allege Hitt was asked to disembark from a Northbound Amtrak train for being drunk & disorderly. Upon being left at the train depot he allegedly pulled the fire alarm only to summon police, as there was no fire. Upon being arrested he refused to cooperate with booking procedures.

 Hitt was taken to jail where he ramained at last report.
