An area man was sentenced to three years in prison Wednesday in Effingham County Circuit Court.

32-year-old Jordan D. Parker has a Neoga address, but has also lived in Watson. Parker was sentenced on a 2012 charge of domestic battery. Parker was found guilty later that year and was placed on probation, but had that probation extended in 2015 after a violation of the terms. The petition was then revoked in 2016 due to further violations.

Parker was spend four years on mandatory supervised release once he's out of prison.
