Jasper County Crash Kills Wheeler Man

Investigative details indicate Allen D. Wetherholt, 77 of Wheeler, was traveling westbound on 900th Ave near 750th St. approximately three miles southwest of Newton at 5:16pm Wednesday evening. Wetherholt ran off the roadway to the right into the ditch.  He continued westbound along the ditch and struck a field entrance head-on.  
 
Wetherholt was pronounced deceased on scene.
