Both drivers were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Heartville Thursday evening.

The crash happened just after 6pm on US Route 45 on the south edge of Heartville.

State police report a car driven by 21-year-old Brandon Loy of Effingham turned in front of a vehicle driven by 50-year-old Timothy Forehand of Edgewood.

Loy and Forehand were both taken to HSHS St. Anthonny's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Loy was later flown to Carle Hospital in Urbana.

Loy was cited for failure to yield turning left, and driving without lights when required.
