Members of the Effingham County 911 Board Tuesday got information on a data base provider that will furnish statewide information to the Effingham County system.

Deb Prather of Indigital, the vendor for the system, said the system will be compatible to any Next Gen system that 911 wants to utilize. Prather said the State will absorb any start-up costs for the work. The 911 Board will be asked to sign a contract agreement with Indigital for a to-be-determined period of time. Prather thinks the system will be put in place sometime later in 2017.

The 911 Board contracted West and Company for audit work for a fee not to exceed $5,800; and approved a schedule for paying 911 employees to comply with new overtime guidelines. There has also been work completed on new by-laws for the 911 system, with a vote on those expected at the January meeting.
