Neoga School Board Approves Tax Levy

Neoga school board members Thursday voted to approve a tax levy for the new fiscal year.

The levy is for $2,855,842, including the amount levied for bond payments. The amount is 6.41% more than last year. Because of tax caps in place in a portion of the school district, the district will receive either 5%, or .7% of the Consumer Price Index plus any new growth in the district, whichever is less.

Neoga board members also approved a series of policy revisions for first reading, with adoption of the revisions to be considered at a future meeting.
