Details on Tuesday Morning Crash on Fayette Near Henrietta

Details are in on a Tuesday morning crash on Fayette Avenue near Henrietta Street.

Effingham City Police say the crash happened just after 8am when a bus driven by 82-year-old LaVerne Mefford of Shobonier rear-ended a pickup truck driven by 39-year-old Brian Sandschafer of Shumway, causing Sandschafer's vehicle to rear-end a bus driven by 57-year-old Nancy Moeller of Effingham.

Police say Sandschafer was injured, but refused treatment. Neither bus was carrying any passengers at the time of the crash.

No citations were issued.
