City Police Investigate Residential Burglary Friday

Effingham City Police are investigating a residential burglary.

The burglary occurred in the 700 block of East Jefferson Avenue between 6pm Friday and 12 midnight Saturday.

A Playstation 4 was stolen along with two controllers and assorted cords valued at $520, 16 Playstation games valued at $1,070, an XBox 360 with controller valued at $300, 20 XBox games valued at $1,200, a laptop computer valued at $1,200, and a backpack.

Police are also looking into a retail theft at Walmart at 1204 Avenue of Mid America about 2:25pm Saturday. Several items were stolen including a Star Shower Laser Light Christmas Display.
