An attorney with experience in both Shelby and Fayette counties has been named an associate judge in the 4th Judicial Circuit.

Amanda Ade-Harlow, a Pana native, was announced Thursday to the judicial post by Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts Director Michael Tardy. Ade-Harlow was an Assistant State's Attorney in Shelby County before taking the same post in Fayette County. She then returned to Shelby County as Public Defender, where she has been serving until her appointment to the bench.

Ade-Harlow received her undergraduate degree in 2001 from the University of Illinois-Springfield and her Juris Doctorate in 2003 from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan.
