Semis Collide on Interstate 70

State Police report that at 2:29am Saturday morning a semi operated by Akeel A. Alzayadi, 52, of Detroit, Michigan was parked or possibly moving at a slow pace in the right lane on I-70 east bound, one mile east of Montrose, and did not have any lights on.
 
A second semi drvien by Adam D. Groff, 35, of Independence, Missouri was also in the right lane and was unable to see the first semi, and rear ended it. The Alzayadi semi came to rest disabled in the right lane of traffic while the Groff semi ended up in the right ditch.
 
Alzayadi and Groff were both transported by ambulance to HSHS St Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
 
Alzayadi was charged with no lights when required and violating minimum speed regulation.
