Harvest is largely complete throughout Illinois with operators working on fall tillage and anhydrous ammonia applications.

Also, many areas experienced the first freeze of the season.

Statewide, the the average temperature was 48.1 degrees, 5.5 degrees above normal. Precipitation averaged 0.10 inches, 0.62 inches below normal. There were six days suitable for fieldwork during the week ending November 13.

Topsoil moisture supply was rated at 1% very short, 8% short, 83% adequate and 8% surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated at 1% very short, 8% short, 86% adequate and 5% surplus.

Corn harvest was 97% complete, compared to 100% last year.

Winter wheat planted reahed 95%, compared to 99% last year. Winter wheat emerged was at 85%, compared to 89% last year. Winter wheat condition was rated 3% very poor, 1% poor, 28% fair, 54% good, and 14% excellent.

Pasture and range condition was rated 3% very poor, 5% poor, 25% fair, 53% good, and 14% excellent.
