Motorcycle - School Bus Accident in Casey

Preliminary investigative details released by State Police indicate at 6:43pm Sunday evening a School Bus driven by Jacquelyn C. Colet 69, of Charleston, was traveling south on IL 49 and attempted a left hand turn onto the I-70 eastbound entrance ramp in Casey. Colet failed to yield to a Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Steven R. Huckaba, 65 of Martinsville, who was northbound and was unable to avoid striking the passenger side of the bus.

 

Huckaba was taken from the scene to Carle Hospital in Champaign for what was termed non-life threatening injuries.

 

Colet was ticketed for failure to yeild turning left.
