Two Arrested in Connection w/Dieterich Stabbing

Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the stabbing incident Friday morning in Dieterich.

The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Skyler L. Roley of Dieterich. Roley was taken to Carle Hospital in Urbana where his condition remains stable.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports the incident occured at 204 West Center Street along Illinois Route 33 in Dieterich. Deputies report several individuals were involved in an altercation that escalated to a knife fight during which Roley was stabbed.

The two people arrested are 18-year-old Brayden L. Aldredge of Effingham and 34-year-old Adam Pipkins of Effingham. Both have been charged with mob action, a Class 4 felony.

The Sheriff's Office indicated they have identified all of the parties involved in the altercation and said there is no danger to the public. Due to this still being an active investigation, the names of some of the individuals involved are being withheld at this time.
