Best Selling Author Coming to Effingham

The Effingham Public Library will host New York Times bestselling author Reed Farrel Coleman on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 at two fundraising events at the Effingham Public Library.

Coleman is the author of many novels, including Robert B. Parker’s Jesse Stone series, the acclaimed Gus Murphy and Moe Prager series, short stories, and poetry as well as a three-time Edgar Award nominee and a three-time recipient of the Shamus Award for Best PI Novel of the Year. He has also won the Audie, Macavity, Barry, and Anthony Awards. A former executive vice president of Mystery Writers of America, Coleman is an adjunct instructor of English at Hofstra University and a founding member of MWA University. Brooklyn born and raised, he now lives with his family in Suffolk County on Long Island.

The public will have the chance to meet Reed Farrel Coleman at two ticketed events over the weekend. All monies raised will go the Library’s Building Fund. Friday, November 4, there will be a two hour reception at the Effingham Public Library from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets for this event will cost $30 and include drinks, hors d’oeuvres and a chance to meet with the author. Saturday, November 5 the author will host a reading in the Workman Room of the Effingham Public Library, starting promptly at 2 p.m. Tickets will cost $30 (Admit 1 ticket) and $35 (Admit 2 ticket) and include one signed hard back copy of his latest book, ROBERT B. PARKER’S DEBT TO PAY. A special Weekend Combo Ticket will give extra value to fans wanting to attend both events, with an Admit ONE ticket available for $50 and an Admit TWO ticket available for $75.
