Kyle Begins Work as Sheriff's Deputy

The Effingham County Sheriff's Office has announced the recent hire of Jeremy W. Kyle as a full-time sheriff's deputy.

Kyle was born and raised in Effingham County. He graduated from Beecher City High School, and later attended Kaplan University.

Kyle was first employed in law enforcement in 2002, when he was hired by the Effingham City Police Department as a 911 Telecommunicator. He began working part-time as a Telecommunicator for the Effingham County Sheriff's Department in February 2003. Kyle became a full-time Correctional Officer in June 2005 and attended the St. Clair County Correctional Academy He was recently promoted to Corporal as a Correctional Officer.

Deputy Kyle also works as a part-time patrolman for the City of St. Elmo and City of Effingham Police Departments. In addition to his law enforcement duties, he serves as Assistant Commander of Operations for the Effingham County Dive Rescue Team.

Kyle and his two children reside in Effingham.
