The Teutopolis Board of Education Monday voted to endorse a proposed Enterprise Zone that would include portions of the Village of Teutopolis.

Property tax exemptions and a break on sales tax for purchase of building materials to be used on projects in the Zone are among the incentives that can be offered businesses or industries that locate in an Enterprise Zone.

The Board also approved the budget for the new fiscal year; approved seeking bids on a new school bus, and on new door locks for the junior high and high school buildings; and got updates on class sizes and enrollment, roof replacement and repair projects, the high school boys locker room, and the new school start and end times.

In personnel moves, the Teutopolis board agreed to hire Kimberlin Wallace as junior high volleyball coach, tom Bauserman as high school Scholar Bowl coach, and Heather Pruemer as frosh/soph girls basketball coach.
