Two Injuries in Late-Reported Crash

Two people were injured in a late-reported crash.

The crash happened last Wednesday at 7:42am at the intersection of Henrietta and Richland.

Effingham City Police report a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Trent Pearcy of Effingham pulled into the path of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Jackie Blythe of Stewardson. Blythe and a passenger in the Blythe vehicle, 15-year-old Stacey Weeden of Stewardson, were both injured, but both refused treatment.

Pearcy was cited for failure to yield.
