A Mattoon man has been arrested on counts involving drugs and counterfeit currency.

28-year-old Joshua Neff was arrested by Mattoon police over the noon hour Friday. Neff was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and with forgery.

Neff was allegedly found in possession of bath salts (an illicit synthetic drug) that were packaged for sale, and $5,000 worth of counterfeit US currency.

Neff was being held in Coles County Jail pending setting of bond.
