A Charleston High School student is in custody after allegedly threatening the murder of high school administrators.
(ANDREW WATTS)
18-year-old Andrew P. Watts was arrested on a count of electronic threat against a school official in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred on Friday.
Charleston police say officers responded to Charleston High School and other locations as a result of a complaint of a student making a threat of murder to the high school administrators.
The release from Charleston police indicates that Watts allegedly participated in a conversation in which he told another individual of the planned-out crime. A subsequent investigation led to Watts' arrest.
Watts is being held in Coles County Jail on $100,000 bond.
