More Winners Named at Illinois State Fair

SPRINGFIELD -- There were more area winners at the Illinois State Fair and Altamont's Susie Wurl came out with a ton of ribbons.

Wurl captured five first place finishes, five seconds and two thirds in the textile category.

More area youth won in the livestock division. Ada Tappendorf of Altamont took two seconds and a third while Faith Aherin of Dieterich finished third, Morgan Walker of St. Elmo second and Brandon Slifer of Stewardson third.
