Louisville Woman Injured in South Part of County

A Louisville woman was injured in a weekend crash in the south part of Effingham County.

79-year-old Greta McGee was a passenger in a car driven by 83-year-old Jack McGee of Louisville. The McGee vehicle was traveling north when it struck a truck driven by 62-year-old Brice Huelskamp of Breese. Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports Huelskamp was traveling on the Mason-Eberle Road when he failed to stop at the stop sign at US Route 45 and pulled in front of the McGee car.

Greta McGee was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Huelskamp was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash and failure to obey a stop sign. The crash happened at 11:45am Friday.
