Three 16-year-old girls from Salem were injured in a single-vehicle crash Saturday night at 11:30pm in Marion County.

The State Police report that a blue 2008 Chrysler was traveling eastbound on Tonti Road just west of the Edgewood road at a high speed when it lost control while traveling across a bridge. The vehicle then left the roadway to the north, collided with a tree and traveled back onto the roadway where it came to rest.

All three juveniles were transported by ambulance to Salem Hospital.

The driver was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and for being a graduated driver's license holder with too many passengers in a vehicle.
