Effingham Native to Appear on HGTV

Effingham native Carrie Pike will be appearing on HGTV this weekend.

Actually, she's now Carrie Pardue, and she and her husband Lee will appear on an episode of "Beachfront Bargain Hunt: Renovation". 

According to Carrie's mom, Tammy Pike of Effingham, the episode featuring Carrie and Lee is to air Saturday at 8pm. 

Tammy said Carrie and Lee live in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, a town near Destin, a community where many Effingham area residents soak up some sun. In fact, if you've been there, you might have rented beach equipment from Lee, who is part-owner of a business that supplies such equipment to tourists.

Tammy said Carrie and Lee took a house and rehabbed it for resale, and the episode focuses on the remodeling effort. She said she's had a lot of people asking when the episode would air.
