Hit and Run Accident on Interstate 70 Leaves a Missouri Women Injured

Illinois State Police report a crash with injury occurred Friday night at 7:28pm on interstate 70 at mile post 88, four miles west of Effingham.

Preliminary details indicate that a car driven by Danielle Renee Leathers, 28 of St. Louis, Mo. was passing an unknown semi tractor trailer on its left. The semi changed lanes into the path of Leathers' car, striking the car which caused it to drive off the roadway to the left into the trees. The semi left the scene.

Danielle Leathers was transported by ambulance to HSHS St Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
