St. Elmo Board Approves Contract w/Teachers

St. Elmo school board members have approved a tentative two-year contract agreement with district teachers.

The contract would cover the coming two school years, ending August 31, 2018. No details are being released since teachers are yet to vote on the proposal.

In personnel moves, the St. Elmo board re-employed Lisa Bain as fulltime paraprofessional, reappointed Marcia Heckert as district treasurer, hired Michelle Miller as a fulltime elementary teacher, employed Christina Pasley as junior high assistant softball coach, hired Doug Stein as regular route bus driver, transferred Lisa Beck from regular route bus driver to the vocational bus driver, and accepted the resignation of Sue Harnish as elementary building secretary.

The St. Elmo board awarded several bids for various commodities and authorized Superintendent Deb Philpot to begin work on a budget for the coming fiscal year.
