People are using plastic to make payments everywhere else; now, you can use it at Teutopolis schools.

The Teutopolis school board Monday approved the acceptance of credit cards in Unit 50 to pay book bills, lunch fees and the like.

The Board also approved a reciprocal reporting agreement with the Effingham County Sheriff's Department and Effingham County State's Attorney's Office to share information that might affect more than one of the agencies; approved policy amendments; and discussed the budget for the coming school year.

Teutopolis board members accepted resignations from Toddie Rauch as junior high track coach and Ron Cowman as junior high assistant softball coach, and hired Libby Pruemer as a four-hour cook at the junior high building. The Board also agreed to seek a replacement for Cowman.

There was no action by the Teutopolis board on who will succeed Andy Johnson as athletic director. Johnson is now Superintendent of Jasper County schools.
