Local and Area Residents on Hand for Santa Convention in Branson

The Discover Santa 10th Anniversary Convention and Kringle Family Reunion drew a number of local and area residents to Branson, Missouri last week.

The Professional Santas of Illinois attending included Roger and Rita Asplin, Dennis and Peggy Curl, Gloria Wendling and Don Baxter, Rick and Iva Jones, and Sam and Barb Whitlow, as well as others from the St. Louis and Chicago areas.

Gloria Wendling won a trophy for "Making a Dream Come True". 

National Geographic staffers were on hand taking photos. 

Many events were held in attempts to break Guinness world records.
