One Injured in Crash at 3rd and Market

One person was injured in a crash at 3rd and Market in Effingham.

The crash happened at 4:03pm Wednesday when a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Sloan Gordon of Mattoon pulled in front of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 16-year-old Jacob Zimmerman of Effingham.

Gordon was injured and was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Gordon was cited for failure to yield.
