Injury Crash at Henrietta and Jefferson; Burglary at Church Building

A crash at Henrietta and Jefferson injured one of the drivers.

Effingham City Police report a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Rhonda Castleberry of Flora struck a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Samantha Dial of Dieterich.

Dial was injured and was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Castleberry was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.

The crash happened at 1:52pm Wednesday.

City police are also investigating a burglary at a local church building.

The break-in occurred at Effingham Bible Church at 710 West Jefferson at about 1:30am Wednesday.

Entry was gained through a window, and an undetermined amount of cash was stolen.
