Mulberry Grove Man Injured in Cycle Crash

A Mulberry Grove man was injured in a motorcyle crash Tuesday in Fayette County.

51-year-old Ronald Marks was traveling on Illinois Route 140 near Hurricane Creek Bridge west of Vandalia when the crash occurred. State police say Marks' cycle ran off the highway into a grass ditch, traveling over 250 feet until coming to rest on the edge of a cornfield.

Marks was taken to St. Louis University Hospital. He was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash. The incident occurred at 4:05pm.
