One person was taken for treatment after a four-vehicle crash in Clark County.

The crash happened at 11:45am Thursday on I-70 near Casey.

State police say three vehicles slowed due to merging traffic for an upcoming construction zone, but a vehicle driven by 61-year-old Johnny Berlin of Effingham didn't slow in time. The Berlin vehicle struck a vehicle driven by 81-year-old Henry Donnell of Columbia, Missouri, forcing the Donnell vehicle into a vehicle driven by 50-year-old Deborah Highley of Edwardsville, which forced the Highley vehicle into a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Ian Devers of Shawnee, Kansas.

A passenger in Donnell's vehicle, 81-year-old Martha Donnell of Columbia, Missouri, was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Berlin was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
