South Central Board Member Resigns

The South Central school board is dealing with a vacancy. The Board accepted the resignation of Tom Turner at last night's meeting. Turner's resignation is effective June 30.

The Board also approved a revised budget for the fiscal year ending June 30; approved used equipment bids; and acted on several personnel moves.

The Board hired Hali Brown and Morgan Crouse as elementary teachers for the coming year; hired Rachel Kincaid as a high school teacher; approved Jamie VanScyoc as a volunteer asssitant high school baseball coach; accepted a letter of intent to retire from Harold Behnke as of June 30; accepted a letter of resignation from Penny Purdue as of the end of the recently-completed school year; accepted a letter of resignation from Michelle Carter effective July 15; and approved the honorable discharge of Christie Welch effective immediately.
