Injury Crash at Banker and Wabash Wednesday

An Altamont woman was injured in a crash Wednesday afternoon at Banker and Wabash in Effingham.

60-year-old Donna M. Hanna was injured when her vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Matthew Tieffel of Watson. City police report Tieffel turned in front of the Hanna vehicle, resulting in the collision. The crash occurred at 3:45pm. One of the vehicles ended up on its top.

Hanna was taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. 

Tieffel was cited for failure to yield.
