Altamont Youth Dies From Injuries in Crash

An Altamont teenager has died from injuries received in a crash.

17-year-old Hunter Barns was injured in a crash Sunday on East 1500th Avenue in Moccasin Township. Barns' vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a tree, then rolled over, throwing Barns from the vehicle.

Barns was airlifted to St. Louis Children's Hospital, where he died from his injuries on Monday afternoon.
