Teutopolis Woman Injured in Effingham Crash

A Teutopolis woman was injured in a crash at Temple and Maple in Effingham over the weekend.

City police report the crash occurred at 11:13am Saturday. Police say a vehicle driven by 76-year-old Alma Morgan of Jewett struck a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Fallon Koester of Teutopolis. 

Koester was injured and was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Police also investigated burglary and theft incidents over the weekend.

Burglary to a motor vehicle occurred while the vehicle was parked somewhere in Effingham sometime between 8am and noon Thursday. Stolen was an iPad, case and charger owned by St. Anthony Church and Schools.

Burglary to a motor vehicle occurred while the vehicle was parked at 1204 Avenue of Mid America sometime between 5pm and 6:05pm Friday. A Tablet and case were taken.

Police are checking on the theft of a bicycle from a driveway in Lakewood Manor Subdivision sometime between 10:30pm Saturday and 3am Sunday. The bicycle, equipped with a motor and GPS, is valued at $300.

The theft of a Nintendo 3D DS and game occurred from a residential yard in Lakewood Manor just before 5pm Sunday. The system is valued at $300.
