Abby Brown Wins Sheriff's Association Scholarship

Abby Brown, daughter of Christopher and Robin Brown of Effingham, is the 2016 Illinois Sheriffs’ Association scholarship winner from Effingham County.

Abby will graduate this year from St. Anthony High School and plans to further her education at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, where she will major in Nursing. The $500.00 scholarship will help defray costs of tuition, books and fees.

Rachel Koester, daughter of David and Jennifer Koester of Effingham, was selected as first alternate in the scholarship competition.
