Teutopolis village board members have sent a plan for additional apartments back to the Village Plan Commision.

Tom Ungrund spoke with the Board about changing lot density requirements in a R-3 multiple family residence zone. The plan is to add three apartments to each building now in place on Smith Street in the southwest part of the village. The Board wants the Plan Commission to revisit the proposal since they said what Ungrund proposed to the Board is different than what was discussed with the Commission.

The Board also heard that CSX Railroad wants a $1,950 review fee as part of a project to bore under the railroad to replace some cast iron water lines. Trustees also directed Village Superintendent Carl Pals to remove some shrubs on village right-of-way at Main and Pearl Streets to improve visibility.

Board members authorized Village President Greg Hess to sign an agreement with Mark Kenter for audit services, and approved the purchase of two automated external defibrillators, one for the police department and one for village hall.

The Board renewed their GIS subscription with the County, and met in closed session on personnel, but took no open session action.
