State Fair Manager Kevin Gordon says Nashville Black River Entertainment Recording artist and television star Kellie Pickler will perform at the 2016 Du Quoin State Fair on Tuesday, August 30th.

Through the release of four albums, hundreds of concert appearances, and her unforgettable win on 'Dancing with the Stars', Kellie Pickler has earned the admiration and affection of countless fans, serving as both inspiration and role model. Pickler is best known for songs such as, "Red High Heels," "Best Days of Your Life" and "Don't You Know You're Beautiful."  Pickler is also the star of the CMT reality show, "I Love Kellie Pickler," which is currently in its second season. She is also a proud supporter of the United States military. To date she has completed eight USO Tours.

Teutopolis native Gregg Lohman is still working as part of Kellie's band in the midst of his other projects.

Pickler is known for sharing the stage with local talent, and this year's Du Quoin State Fair will share in that tradition. Opening for Kellie Pickler on Tuesday, August 30th will be Amelia Eisenhauer. The southern Illinois native first met Kellie Pickler on the final season of American Idol where the two performed a duet to the song, "Suds in the Bucket."

Meanwhile, Sunday, August 28th will be Contemporary Christian Night at the Grandstand. Performing the first Sunday at the Du Quoin State Fair will be the Christian rock band, Skillet. This summer the band will embark on a jam-packed world-wide tour for its fans that are affectionately called "Panheads." The band has nine albums and two Grammy nominations to their credit. They are best known for songs such as, "Awake and Alive," "Not Gonna Die," "Comatose," and "Monster."
