One Person Injured in Fayette County ATV Crash

A Brownstown man was injured in an ATV crash in Fayette County.

The crash happened at 4:32pm Saturday two miles north of Wright's Corner. State police report 50-year-old Eric Forbes was traveling on a rural road and attempted to turn at the intersection. The ATV skidded in rocks on the roadway and slid sideways, and then overturned.

Forbes was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Forbes was cited on counts of DUI, driving on a revoked license, failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash, and careless operation of an ATV.
