The City recently presented the Effingham Performance Center with a donation.

Mayor Jeff Bloemker said, “When I was growing up in Effingham back in the 1970’s if you would have told me REO Speedwagon and Kansas and Steve Martin and BB King and Charlie Daniels would someday be performing in Effingham I would have never believed it. The Effingham Performance Center has opened the entertainment world up to the Effingham region and has contributed to Effingham’s growing reputation as an emerging restaurant, retail, and entertainment hub in Downstate Illinois. As well, the EPC has developed a strong community presence in ways outside of entertainment, such as being an emergency shelter. THANK YOU to Rich Jorn and his team for expanding Effingham’s cultural horizon.”
