Injury Crash in Fayette County Monday

One person was injured in a crash Monday afternoon in Fayette County.

The crash happened just after 5pm on Illinois Route 185, a half-mile north of Vandalia. State police report a truck driven by 33-year-old Gavin Paradee of Vandalia was headed north, but Paradee didn't notice a truck driven by 63-year-old Robert Lovall of Vandalia had slowed to turn into his driveway, and Paradee's truck struck Lovall's truck from behind.

Lovall was injured in the collision, and was taken by ambulance to Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.

Paradee was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
