Effingham resident Maxwell Glen Myers has been sentenced to three years in prison for drugs.

The 23-year-old Myers has pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials. Charges of possession of meth, possession of heroin, possession of burglary tools, possession of cannabis, and possession with intent to deliver meth were dismissed.

Myers will be on two years mandatory supervised release once out of prison.

Myers was arrested by state police in March.
