The 40 CEO students were busy from the moment the Convention Center doors opened at 5pm until closing time at 7:30. The evening concluded with an awards ceremony. Emcee Steve Witges encouraged those present to stick around what with the storm outside, but the show closed at the scheduled time without a hitch.

The Open Prairies Scholarship was presented to Chandler Martelli, while the John Schultz cash award was presented to Dalton Kemper. The Entrepreneurs of the Year, one from each class, are Travis Whitt and Reed Schafer.

The private donor who facilitated the appearance by author Jon Acuff at the CEO Experience had asked that a portion of the profits from the Experience be donated to a local charity chosen by the students. The $1,000 contribution announced last night will go to Jodi Waymoth and "Fear Nothing".

Each of this year's classes, taught by Kent Probst and by Kristy Sayers, agreed to contribute $3,000 toward the CEO program from their profits, $1,000/year for each of the next three years. That way, the graduating students are helping pave the way for future CEO students.
