Unit 40 Board Expels Student; No Decision on Replacement Board Member

Effingham Unit 40 board members Thursday voted to expel a student.

The expulsion will extend through the end of the 2016-17 school year.

The Board also met in closed session to consider a replacement for Laurie King Borrelli, who resigned due to a move out of the district. No action was taken, and no action on a hiring is on the agenda for the Board's regular monthly meeting, scheduled for Monday night.
