Teutopolis Village Board members Wednesday heard from Dick Hawickhorst and Jeff Kenter about maintaining a private road between their businesses.

Board members indicated that if the road running between Hawickhorst's Prudential Office Building and Kenter's Tavern is dedicated to the village, the village could maintain the roadway. Hawickhorst said he'd speak with his attorney about the issue and then respond on whether he wants to make the road dedication.

The Teutopolis board also appropriated $36,000 in Motor Fuel Tax monies for street maintenance oil; agreed to purchase 12 additional decorative banners from Brumleve Industries for when replacements are needed; and approved CPR training for five village employees.
