Vacancy Filled on Shelby County Board

The Shelby County Board filled a vacancy on the board during its meeting Wednesday morning.

The Board named Dennis Drnjevic (pronounced DERN-a-vitch) to fill the vacancy created by Linda Kessel's resignation. Kessel, a longtime Supervisor of Assessments for Shelby County, resigned from the Board due to health issues. Drnjevic will serve until the general election in November and is likely to seek election to his own term.
