A van, a semi and a truck were involved in a collision in Clay County late Thursday morning, injuring three people.

The crash happened at 10:49am on US 50, a half-mile west of Xenia.

State police report the van driven by 19-year-old Malorie Harris of Centralia was eastbound when it crossed over the center line, striking the semi, driven by 59-year-old James Brown of Wildersville, Tennessee, on the driver side. After striking the semi, the van then struck the trailer of the rig and overturned on the shoulder of the highway. The impact caused a tire to come off the van and strike the front of the truck, driven by 24-year-old Kiefer Shaw of Marion.

Harris, a passenger in the van, 25-year-old Timothy Haynes of Olney, and a passenger in the truck, 29-year-old Stephen Shaw of Marion, were injured in the crash. Harris was airlifted to St. Louis University Hospital, while Haynes was taken to Clay County Hospital in Flora.

Harris was cited for driving on a suspended license, no insurance and improper lane usage.
