The annual meetings of the Joint Review Boards of Effingham's Tax Increment Financing districts were held Wednesday at City Hall.

The meetings are an opportunity to review projects from the past year, and what's projected to happen in the districts in the coming year.

The Joint Review Boards are made up of representatives of the various taxing districts impacted by TIF districts.

Effingham Park Board Commissioner Russ Sehy was chosen to chair the TIF #1 Joint Review Board, with Unit 40 Superintendent Mark Doan chosen vice-chairman and local businessman Dave Ring selected as the public member.

Lake Land College Trustee Doris Reynolds was chosen to chair the Central Area TIF Joint Review Board, with Douglas Township trustee Nick Althoff chosen vice-chairman and Ring the public member.

Local banker Tim Spitz was chosen to chair the Outer Belt West TIF Joint Review Board and to serve as the public member, with County Board Chairman Jim Niemann chosen vice-chairman.

Spitz was also chosen to chair the South-Central Industrial TIF Joint Review Board and to serve as the public member, with Niemann chosen vice-chairman.
