Personnel moves dominated the action at this week's Teutopolis school board meeting.

The Board accepted Andrew Breeden's resignation as high school Spanish teacher and hired Michael Braden to replace him, and hired Melinda Bloemer, Darlene Unkraut, Tess Borries, Josh Cottrill, Teri Heuerman, Cheryl McLeod and Dan Blankenship as summer workers. The Board approved a six-day extended contract for high school guidance counselor Cathy Esker to complete end-of-year tasks. Board members approved Bo Blievernicht as a volunteer to help with high school baseball, and agreed to advertise for a half-time Ag Education teacher and a half-time Industrial Arts teacher.

Board members renewed the District's membership in the Illinois High School Association for next year, and approved the annual SEPCO agreement. SEPCO is a food purchasing cooperative for district cafeterias. The Board also approved the long-running Summer Library Program on Tuesdays from May 31 through July 19.

The Board also recognized Teutopolis Athletic Director and Assistant High School Principal Andy Johnson as the recipient of the Illinois Assistant Principal of the Year Award.
